This research group analyses sport as a lens for observing social, institutional, and economic dynamics.

We particularly examine how sport shapes and reflects performance standards, bodily identities, and power relations.

Research within this axis is structured around three key themes:

Despite the diversity of approaches, a common thread runs through the multidisciplinary research conducted in this axis: sport serves as both a space for identity construction, a site of power dynamics, and a laboratory for the transformation of social norms.
