From Online Learning to In person Meet up

It’s no secret that TBS’s interrelationship with the business world is as dynamic as ever and has been the driving force behind TBS’s legacy since its creation in 1903. That is why initiatives involving the local and global business community is also crucial to the integrity of our international seminar projects, such as the one with our partner university, Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University.

From February 28th to March 10th, TBS organised an online international business consulting seminar for 29 MSc Entrepreneurship and International Business students from Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University. This was a chance for these aspiring business consultants to virtually meet and interact first-hand with five French companies operating in various sectors and with unique needs, with intentions to further their presence on the global stage.

To further enrich their experience, students were followed online lectures related to themes in business internationalisation, as well as had coaching sessions with mentors. In addition, students benefited from expert webinar talks with a seasoned wine industry consultant and a junior international supply chain consultant who shared their practical experiences and provided their tips of the trade.

At the end of the 3-week mission, the five company clients were presented with proposals by their student consultants outlining strategies and solutions to the challenges they identified. It was an intense and engaging few weeks that yielded great work from the students and satisfaction from the participating companies.

To top off this great experience, TBS had the pleasure to host a group of Nottingham students at the end of March. These students travelled to “la Ville Rose” on their own to discover the city and, of course, TBS. This was also the perfect opportunity to also invite the group’s client, Château de Marmorières, also to TBS for a face-to-face meeting and feedback session about the overall project. It was a truly memorable moment and the perfect way to bring together this inspiring and blended learning experience.
