With its recognized expertise in the aerospace sector, the MSc Aerospace Management program trains students from around the world to become future leaders in this rapidly growing industry. Victor POUILLE, a recent graduate of this program, participated in the USAIRE STUDENT AWARDS 2024 and claimed first place.

Always passionate about aeronautics, Victor decided to join the Master in Management program at TBS Education after completing an ECS preparatory class.

To cap off his academic journey and obtain a dual degree, Victor chose to enroll in the MSc Aerospace Management to benefit from its academic excellence: It was an incredible experience.

Christophe BENAROYA, head of the MSc Aerospace Management and a recognized expert in the aerospace field, is committed to offering more than just academic instruction. He provides his students with a rich experience of sharing, discovery, and networking. Victor highlights the program’s merits: The MSc offers exceptional quality, with high-level contributors and a tremendously rich content.”

Thanks to his academic and professional success—I had the opportunity to join the MSc Aerospace program as part of my apprenticeship at Airbus’ Industrial Affairs Division.—Victor decided to compete in the prestigious USAIRE Student Awards.

This international competition invites students from around the world to work on a specific topic every year that addresses challenges of the aerospace, defense, space or high-technologies industries. The concours push students worldwide to reshape the future of Aerospace and Defense industry. The theme for 2024 was: “ Propose a specific and concrete project associated with a business case that you hope will disrupt the aerospace industry by 2040.”

Highlight of the analytical skills gained during his studies at TBS Education, Victor invited his teammate, Valentin PRUVOST, a student at the engineering school ISAE SUPAERO, to collaborate on the project: “This competition gave us the chance to dive deeply into ideas that had fascinated us since we were 15!”

For four months, they developed a viable business case for a regional airline operating 19-seat hybrid-electric decarbonized aircraft by 2040: “Our vision is that Europe’s decarbonized regional aviation will serve as the testing ground for the broader decarbonization of the entire aerospace sector.”

Going beyond traditional research and data analysis, these two passionate students met with over 40 aerospace professionals, culminating in an unprecedented event at ISAE SUPAERO on July 12: “ This collaborative effort enabled us to design custom calculation models and an interface allowing any operator to determine their break-even point and cost structure for any socio-economic or technological scenario they envision for 2040. ”

Victor and Valentin presented their work to major institutions, including the French Senate, the Indian Embassy in Paris, the DGAC, ATR, Thales, Airbus, Aerospace Valley, AURA AERO, EDF, ENGIE, and Auch Gers Airport; institutions that have been able to provide them with the necessary support for this great adventure.

TBS Education once again congratulates Victor and Valentin for securing first place, a testament to the seriousness and passion they brought to this project. As Valentin aptly puts it: “Connecting people while ensuring environmental responsibility—that’s our Promise.”
